If you enjoy giving back to your community, or giving to a great cause you won’t want to miss this event! Join The Herd for it’s annual St. Baldrick’s Day event on March 13th by the UMC Fountains. We’ll be there from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. to shave some heads for children’s cancer research.
Here’s how it works. Sign up to participate as a shavee by going to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation website. Canvas your neighbors, your friends, your family and even strangers for donations for children’s cancer research. You can even set a goal for yourself on the website.
If you don’t want to shave your head alone, you can also create a group! Get your friends to shave their heads too! Then, on the day of the event, come to the UMC Fountains to have your head shaved to show solidarity with children struggling with cancer. We will have 4-6 barbers to shave heads. If you raise a certain amount (which is yet to be determined) you will receive a St. Baldrick’s t-shirt, and you may also receive a gift from The Herd as well (while supplies last).
Last March, The Herd surpassed it’s goal by over $10,000 by raising about $31,000. Let’s shoot for $35,000 or more this year!
