Partnerships

The Herd seeks to expand its partnership base constantly.  We are the Forever Buffs Student Alumni Association and we are therefore a partner of the Alumni Association.  That being said, The Herd seeks to improve the relationship between students and alumni.  In addition, The Herd has partnered with various athletic teams, the Greek system, Resident Advisors and other organizations to expand our student outreach and student involvement.

Club Sports

We collaborate with teams to help increase awareness of these sports teams.  Click here to see the Club Sports webpage.  Below are the individual Club Sports team websites that we’ve worked with so far:

CU Men’s Club Soccer

CU Women’s Club Soccer

CU Men’s Club Lacrosse

CU Men’s Club Rugby

The Herd also provides students with fun pre-games before every fall home football game.  Join The Herd three hours before every home football game on Benson Field for games, food and fun!  Free food and awesome free Herd gear for all Herd members.  All you have to do is bring your Herd card to receive the benefits.  If you’re not a Herd member yet, become one now! Click here for more details on becoming a Herd member.  For more information about official CU Sports Teams click here.

Greek System

The Herd is working to build a better relationship with the Greek System.  In the near future, The Herd hopes to collaborate with Greek Life on events that The Herd plans, as well as events that are presented by various sororities and fraternities.  For more information about Greek Life, please click here.

Resident Hall Association

The Herd is working with the resident advisors to broaden The Herd’s influence on campus. Through collaboration with resident advisors, The Herd hopes to energize the freshman population to come participate in various events The Herd plans throughout campus.  For more information about the Residence Hall Association, click here.

Senior Class Council

Senior Class Council works to unify the senior class through social, educational, and service oriented projects and programs that would build tradition, pride, and community within the Senior Class.  The Herd works with the SCC through events specifically for seniors such as The Herd’s Senior Sendoff for the December Commencement and the May Commencement. In the future The Herd will also be collaborating with the SCC during their Senior Week, an entire week of events dedicated to seniors.  Click here for more information.

The Ski Bus Program

The Ski bus travels to Breckenridge, Keystone, A-basin, Vail and Beaver Creek.  During the ski season, the bus departs from several different stops at the university early in the morning on weekends.  This bus is available to students, faculty and staff.  Tickets cost $15 roundtrip, but Herd members only pay $5 roundtrip.  Click here for more information.

Forever Buffs Network

Under the Forever Buffs initiative all alumni and students are lifelong members of the Alumni Association from the day they set foot on campus!  The Herd is the first step in being a Forever Buff.  As a Herd member and Forever Buff, you can take advantage of the Alumni Association’s student-alumni networking events to help you in your future endeavors.  Come to the Koenig Alumni Center to learn more about the Forever Buffs Initiative, or click here.
