The Herd Leadership Council

The Herd Leadership Council (HLC) is a group of volunteer students that run The Herd. Being a part of the HLC is a chance for students to have a great time, meet great people, be the student voice of the Alumni Association, and gain valuable leadership experience.

Spring 2012 Herd Leaders:

Program Manager of The Herd Dawn Barone	Dawn Barone: Dawn is the program manager of The Herd and Denver Young Alums at the Alumni Association. She graduated from CU in 2009 with a degree in psychology, history and Italian. While attending CU she was a Herd Leader and in her senior year she became Herd President.
President of The Herd Marni Spott	Marni Spott: Marni is a last year graduate student in the German Department. She received her undergraduate degree at CU in International Affairs and German. Marni has been in The Herd since her freshman year and has been president of the organization since 2010. Once she graduates in the spring she hopes to move overseas.
Herd Leader Chandler Nicolls	Chandler Nicolls: Chandler is a freshman Business Major minoring in graphic design. She loves to snowboard, go to concerts, and create art. Her dream job is to be an editor for a high fashion magazine. Chandler joined the Herd because she enjoys connecting with others and leading events. Her passion for the arts gives her a creative outlook on life.

Herd Leader Danielle Silverston	Danielle Silverston: Danielle is a freshman undergraduate in Electric and Computer engineering who loves scuba diving and making desserts!
Herd Leader Kelsey Miller	Kelsey Miller: Kelsey Miller is a senior Ecology and Evolutionary Biology major from Lakewood, Colorado. In her spare time she loves to feed baby squirrels and raccoons, and smiles a lot. The end.

Herd Leader Jordan Denning	Jordan Denning: Jordan is a junior Chemistry major. He can usually be found in the lab doing experiments, otherwise he’ll be at a Herd event. He loves to snowboard and play the drums in his limited free time. Jordan is a true Buff fan and has never missed a home football game!
Herd Leader Nathalie Herrera	Nathalie Herrera: Nathalie is a senior Journalism and Psychology double major. She is from New Jersey, and bilingual in Spanish and English. Her interests vary from traveling, to watching Dexter, to baking yummy goods.
Herd Leader Justin Lang	Justin Lang: Justin is a professional student studying Architecture. He loves pussy cats, hula hooping and people watching. He also loves hanging out with The Herd!
Herd Leader Taylor Alexander	Taylor Alexander: Taylor is an awesome sophomore and Integrated Physiology major. She enjoys talking with others and make funny faces when taking photos. Go Buffs!!!

Herd Leader Alyssa Hamburg	Alyssa Hamburg: Alyssa is a senior Marketing major in the Leeds Business School. She’s a new Herd Leader as of Fall 2011 and has been enjoying the new experiences the Herd is providing. She has lived in Colorado all her life and spends a lot of time with friends and family as they are very important to her.

Herd Leader Theresa Dixon	Theresa Dixon: Theresa is a freshman majoring in business and wants to plan events for the rest of her life: AKA why she started early with the Herd. She enjoys riding horses, hot chocolate, and izzys!!
Herd Leader John Thrasher	John Thrasher: John is a senior Chemistry and Biochemistry double major. He enjoys singing Rebecca Black’s Friday, everyday, blowing bubbles, water balloon fights, and hanging out with the HERD.
